PRHS has 5 National Merit Finalists this year

An astounding 5 students from Prairie Ridge High School have achieved finalist status in the National Merit Scholarship Program.  This is an amazing achievement in the national program.

The students representing the academic excellence at Prairie Ridge are:  Breeane Fleer, Robin Kim, John Murawski, Jacob Richeal, and Joshua Svehla.

A huge Congratulations to all of you.  We are so very proud of your accomplishments and wish you success as you strive toward a scholarship.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.  Students enter the competition by taking the PSAT.  Of the 1.5 Million students that take the initial qualifying exam, about 16,000 go on to the semi-finalist status,  In this stage, the student must maintain their academic standing, take the SAT, and meet other program requirements.  Only 15,000 students nationwide make it to the finalist stage.

We are so very proud of our students.
