3 Local students named National Merit Scholars

This article from the Northwest Herald mentions 3 of our local High School students who have been awarded National Merit Scholarships.  This amazing award goes to less than 1% of all applicants for the scholarship.  This year's local winners are:

• Robin J. Kim of Cary, a Prairie Ridge High School student who will be attending Northwestern University and is leaning toward studying engineering.

• John M. Murawski of Cary, also a Prairie Ridge High School student who also will be attending Northwestern University with electrical engineering as his proposed field.

• Brendan J. Batliner of Crystal Lake, a student at Illinois Mathematics and Science in Aurora who plans to study software engineering at the University of Nebraska.

A huge Congratulations goes out to these amazing students (and their parents)!
